Welcome to Dunlap's Riverhouse!
We are located just south of Matagorda, Texas, on the Colorado River, just 3 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico and sandy Matagorda Beach. East and West Matagorda Bays are just a short boat ride away for exciting Matagorda fishing or hunting. For visitors interested in beach combing, there are more than 22 miles of beach covered with interesting sea shells, drift wood, and sand dunes. The Matagorda area is recognized as one of the best areas on the Texas coast for fishing, hunting, and birdwatching.
The community of Matagorda is only 3 miles to the north offering you restaurants and any supplies you may need. Rawlings Bait Camp and their boat ramp is just down the highway a short distance for easy access to the Gulf. You will enjoy our lighted fishing pier....there is plenty of room to dock your boat while not out fishing or you can fish or set crab traps right out your back door! The spacious deck on the West side of the house overlooks the river and offers a great view of West Matagorda Bay.

Furnishings and Features:
3 bedrooms/2 baths with full living room and dining room furniture, basic Satellite TV, VCR, full kitchen appliances (refrigerator, microwave, range, disposal), pots & pans, dishes, cups, utensils, silverware, toaster, baking pans, bowls, coffee maker; bedding (1 queen, 4 full, 1 twin beds), linens, blankets, pillows, patio table and chairs, Bar-B-Q pit, fishing lights. Home is fully furnished for comfort, efficiency, and convenience.
You will need to furnish your own towels, charcoal, lighter fluid, insect spray, sunscreen, beach chairs, extra towels, personal toiletries...and...of course, FOOD.
