Welcome to beautiful Matagorda, one of the best kept secrets on the Gulf Coast.
Our house is located on the Colorado River with views of both East and West Bays.
You'll enjoy nature at its best with fish jumping, an occasional dolphin swimming
by and the best bird watching in the nation! You can also enjoy surf fishing and
shell collecting since Matagorda beach is only a 5 minute drive away. Matagorda
offers everything you'll need to make your stay complete, from grocery stores,
bait camps, gift shops, to fine restaurants. Local restaurants offer fresh seafood,
pizzas, hamburgers, shrimp po-boys and Mexican food. Fresh seafood is also available
at the local seafood markets, fresh off the boats.
Features:
The outside of the house is
blue with white trim. 1 boat lift and plenty of lighted pier space for fishing
or crabbing. You'll also find a cleaning table on the pier. The upper deck is
30 ft by 30 ft and is great for entertaining or simply relaxing and watching the
boats come in or enjoying a beautiful sunset. Everything changes when you enter
the house. I like color! The house is beautifully furnished with import pieces,
antiques, pottery, and artwork. Comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 persons.
UPSTAIRS:
2 bedroom/1 bath Master Bedroom has a King size bed and is furnished with coastal
furnishings, including Frida Kahlo prints. Guest room has a Queen size Panama
bed, antique armoire, and antique alter chest which doubles as a computer desk.
Full bath offers a garden tub and plenty of storage. The living area and kitchen
are open and allow for easy entertaining. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator,
microwave, range, disposal, coffee maker, dishes, flatware and cookware. For grilling,
there is a gas grill on the deck. The living area has a red leather sofa and loveseat.
The large black oriental armoire holds a TV with basic cable service.
DOWNSTAIRS: 1 bedroom/1 bath Large living area with game table and wet bar. Ultra-suede
sleeper sofa allows you to sleep extra guests. Bedroom is private and has a Queen
size wrought iron bed and antique armoire for storage. Full bath is quite large
with plenty of dressing space and a shower. Linens are included. Extra beach towels
should be brought with you. Washer and dryer are located downstairs.
Rental Rates:
$1500/ per week
$300/per night with a 2 night minimum
$300 deposit required
July 22-26 - $350 per night
Full Payment must be
made on or before check-in by cash or check.
